C section and abruption Hello I am from the student midwife forum.
I have been reading through my Mayes midwifery book and it came to c sections, it said in the book that the risk of abruption can increase by 40% with a section, did this mean during the section or next pregnancy? The reason I am asking is because I had a concealed abruption in July 2006 and my daughter was stillborn, my consultant told me that we had a 15% chance of it happening again (he also said it could be in any pregnancy not nessecarily (spelling!) the next one). We have since had another baby who was born in November last year, his birth ended up in an emergency section. I was induced at 38 weeks and got to 10cm started pushing and he was stuck. Now I am having my implant out next week as we want another baby and I have scared myself with this information I have read does anybody know if it is true or what the risks/percentages are?
Thank you
Donna
